How many times have you "quit"

I don't have the actual number of times I tried. A lot. I quit one more time than I started again, that's all that counts in the long run..... I lost count how many times....I smoked for 34 years and for the last 20 years, I was constantly trying to quit....I guess I never really was determined. I just kept saying I will quit next week or next month or when things got better in my life.... I am so glad I don't have to quit anymore.... Hang in there everyone....It's great being a non smoker...You will love it Brenna My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/2/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 518 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,368 Amount Saved: $2331 Life Gained: Days: 60 Hrs: 12 Mins: 2 Seconds: 56

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

I smoked for 40 some odd years. And quit constantly...maybe everytime I put down a cigarette! I remember two serious quits -- one for a year and one for a few months. But as someone said, this is the one that matters. I think Dutch Fini is absolutely right -- there is a big difference between acting like a non-smoker and thinking like one. Therein lies the key!
