I quietly passed the 8 month mark yesterday. This is the longest I have been smoke free since I was 17 years old. I'm 47 now. I do believe I have quit for good. It gets easier everyone. The longer I'm off the smokes the less i think about them. To anyone having a tough time - hang in there. You will be rewarded in better health and a better quality of life. Staying away from the smokes is well worth it. "quietly" passed the 8 month mark? Isn't that illegal on this forum?? :8o: I didn't know how similar our quit history was (47 here too...and started at 16). Congratulations, cybrduke! I do believe you've quit for good too. Keep on going. It just keeps getting better.
