Second Hand Smoke - WHAT AN AWFUL THING

20 years ago 0 300 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Today I visited my mother who smokes. I was in the same room with her while she was smoking. Im at the point where I dont get the really bad cravings when seeing or smelling However, I now understand the meaning of second hand smoke! Breathing the smoke in the air, my throats tighten and started to slightly burn. I then started to cough over and over again. I just couldnt stop coughing. This was such an awful thing. I cant believe I ever ignored or thought otherwise when people would cough around me when I smoked. I thought they were exaggerating or something. I want to apologize to everyone that has ever inhaled my second hand smoke. YUCK! Jessie, I agree with you totally! I remember in my quit feeling the same way you are feeling today. You know what! You did it! You now are an ex-smoker. Once I felt this way in my quit I never turned back. It is tough to see our love ones smoke. I felt this for years with my father. However, this year he did quit smoking and has been smoke-free since Feb 15th, 2006! There is always hope! Great post! Have a great day Jessie :) Melanie _____________________________ The SSC Support Team
