Thank you Weatherwatch, It does help. It is just the thought of everything that scares me. I will probably be okay once I am there. Thanks for the advice and take care. Ann

I know how you feel. This is how I get any time I have to travel...especially if I know that others are counting on me having a good time. For the flying, I found learning more about flying and pilots(their training etc) made me feel a lot better about flying in general. Also, it always help me to ease into a trips activities...meaning I take my time getting to know my surroundings(hotel room) and then have a low key activity planned for the first day. That way you don't have the added pressure of feeling like you might let your hubby down if you have a bad day or a PA. This technique helped me tremendously when we went skiing...I have big time anxiety about mountain tops..the wind, etc...and planning our skiing for just a half day the first day and a nice cozy dinner that night gave me an achievable goal and I did not feel like I deprived my husband of anything. Hope this helps a little.

My husband has booked a holiday for us in a couple of weeks. He is so excited but I am not. I am scared of flying (over 4 hour flight), and I am scared of being away from my children (even though they will be in the capable hands of my in-laws) and I am scared of being ill whilst I am there or having really bad panic attacks. I am only going for 1 week, and I should be looking forward to it. I dont want to spoil the holiday. My husband says I deserve a break. Any advice or tips. Thanks
